News Flash

Does anyone read this anymore? ^^; No? Well then I'll just write for no reason then. La la la! *laughs* No seriously, I will not be writing in pitas anymore. I will be moving to lj. Yes. Finally. I know everyone's been wanting me to switch but *sigh* lj is muzukashii~ ;.; I can't get anything to look how I want it to. I can't make my own icons because my comp won't change images to jpegs. (I know you made me icons Erin *hugs* and I luuuuuuuuurve them.) I can't make a nice layout which...sucks. Big time. I want pretty background! And well there's just a whole pile of things I don't know how to use in lj, but I'll learn. *nod nod* Well, except for layout. I'm doomed there without Sabina. ^^;

So yes, that is my update. I'm switching to lj but I won't post anything until it's pretty and I know what the hell I'm doing. *laughs*

Update - Yes I live!!

Finally decided to write in here since I'm too lazy to answer the increasing pile of emails in my inbox. ^^;;; So, to all of you not in the know...(of which is probably no one seeing how quickly gossip and rumours fly amongst my friends...)I have a job and have been working for the past month as a translator for a gaming company. Doing translations from English to Japanese and vice versa. I'm the head of the Japanese team. *laughs* How that happened...I'm not sure. But it's...fun. Currently putting Conan the Barbarian into Japanese. You can all imagine the fun that arises from translating Conan. Wonderful lines like 'Come on my blade!!' and 'Feel my hard sword!' which cause me to giggle and then shake my head when my poor Japanese coworker asks why I'm so amused. How to explain that? *laughs* And let's not forget great insults like 'You are nothing but camel piss'. Ah...finally all my knowledge of insults in Japanese has a use!! And I never thought it...but translating Buck Tick lyrics all summer really helped me. I didn't realize how much I had improved my Japanese and expanded my vocabulary. ^_______^ Bless Sakurai for inspiring me. And...to think there were some who thought I was wasting my time by devoting myself to translation...

So that is why I've been nigh unreachable of late. Work keeps me busy and when I get home I'm usually too exhausted to answer email or make phone calls. Apologies. >.< And huge massive apologies to Erin. I will answer your mails. Seriously. I loved the bribes. *laughs and hugs* Thank you for making them. I actually have been wanting to use my lj but...I need help! I'm too lazy an lack the patience to figure it out myself. Plus...I'm just horribly inept when it comes to these things. ^^;

Well that's about it, Pat's wedding is next weekend. ^____^ Can't wait for that. Have to make sure I have plenty of film to take pictures of my lovely friend being all sparkly. ^_^Oh! And my sister went home on Friday. ;.; I miss her already. It was so nice having her here again. You know, having someone around to glomp and enjoy things with and complain to about parental idiocy. *sigh* She got engaged too! Her boyfriend flew all the way here from Japan just to ask my dad's permission to marry her. Kawaii ne? ^___^

So for once, all is happy and well in the life of Lola. ~.^

Checking in

Why am I bothering with this? Boredom. That is all. -_- I had fully intended not to update my blog anymore because frankly...what is the point? If people can't be bothered getting off their lazy arses to pick up a phone and ask if I'm still alive then why should I bother writing out inane rambles about the frustrations of my daily life to entertain them? Then when I don't update I get complaints and yet...those who complain the most seldom update their blogs. Funny that isn't it? >.>

Ok, now that my biting irritation has typed itself out, faster than expected. Thank Sakurai for that people. Listening to that voice makes me relax and puddle. Well, not puddled yet, just relaxed. Puddling would then mean I could no longer type or walk a straight line and would simply ooze out of my chair like so much melted jello.

Anyway! Uh...the tree in my yard has finally bloomed. Pink blossoms swaying in the wind and raining down soft petals on the bright green grass. Something pretty to look at. ^_^ The air is cool today which I love. Sunny but cold. Ah...nothing better. Well except for rain. Rain is lovely. Everything looks silver...

Ok, I suppose that's it. Boredom brought me here and now boredom will drive me away. Or maybe that's hunger...^^; Hard to say. The feeling is unpleasant whatever it is. Ug. Why the hell am I up so early? ;.; *sigh* Ok. Back to translating BT lyrics and giggling at the perviness of them. *waves* Ta~
